In 2014, Liesfeld moved 225,000 cubic yards of overburden material at Vulcan Material’s Royal Stone Quarry in Rockville, Virginia. Liesfeld also installed several thousand feet of V Ditches that had mixtures of rip rap and slope stabilization matting. The project utilized Liesfeld’s mining support operations in moving over 10,000 cubic yards per day.
In November 2012, Liesfeld completed the Cell 5 & 6 Expansion at the 623 Landfill located in Rockville, Virginia. Construction consisted of two large landfill cells, new sediment basin and roads.
