J.E Liesfeld Contractor, Inc. undertook the clearing and grading of a new regional mall encompassing fifty-four acres within the city limits of Richmond, VA.
Even in the face of the worst wet weather Richmond had encountered in over 100 years, Liesfeld completed the job on schedule. During one ten-day period, Liesfeld moved earth material at an average rate of 20,000 cubic yards per day.
Liesfeld had cleared the site, excavated over 800,000 cubic yards of earthen material, laid five miles of storm sewer pipe, and created and maintained a complex erosion control scheme. The job was completed within budget and on schedule for our Columbus, Ohio based client, Smoot Construction Company, Inc.
