The Diesel Mechanic is a full-time, on-site position based in Rockville, VA, responsible for maintaining and repairing Liesfeld Contractor’s diverse fleet of Peterbilt trucks, Ford pickups, trailers, and heavy construction equipment supporting our site development and heavy civil operations. This primarily shop-based role performs advanced diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and high-volume repairs with minimal supervision, troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and aftertreatment systems. The ideal candidate is an experienced, hands-on mechanic with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills who takes pride in quality workmanship, works confidently and independently, and collaborates with the Equipment Manager, Shop Foreman, and field teams to keep equipment safe, reliable, and ready for the job.
