Surveyor

Overview

The Surveyor is a full-time, field-based position supporting civil construction projects throughout the Greater Richmond region. This role is responsible for performing field layout, establishing and maintaining survey control, verifying grades and elevations, and ensuring construction activities align with plans, specifications, and design requirements. Working closely with Project Managers, engineers, superintendents, and field crews, the Surveyor helps ensure projects are built accurately, efficiently, and to specification while identifying and resolving potential issues in the field. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of hands-on civil construction surveying experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with modern surveying equipment, including Topcon GPS/GNSS systems, total stations, and digital levels. Candidates should be comfortable working independently in the field, interpreting construction plans and grades, and operating effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
