Liesfeld Contractor, Inc. was selected as the heavy civil and sitework contractor for Stony Point Fashion Park, a premier open-air retail and lifestyle center located in Richmond, Virginia. Spread across 90 acres, this landmark development included the construction of twelve buildings and over two miles of new roadways, requiring a comprehensive and coordinated approach to site preparation and infrastructure.
The Liesfeld team successfully moved over 1,000,000 cubic yards of earthen material, reshaping the site’s topography to accommodate building pads, roads, and landscaped public spaces. The scope also included the installation of more than 20,000 linear feet of wet utilities, including stormwater, water, and sanitary systems—critical to supporting long-term site functionality.
One of the project’s most challenging and distinctive features was the construction of significant retaining wall systems throughout the site. These walls were strategically engineered and built to address elevation changes across the property, ensuring structural integrity and maximizing usable space for both pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
